Program Guide
Introduction
The MooseWood education staff has developed 17 different nature education programs designed for groups. Our programs are designed to meet the standards and expectations of schools, groups and organizations by incorporating ecological concepts and science curriculum with practical exercises and cross-curricular activities to help participants better understand nature and the environment. In addition to schools and other organizations, these programs are also available to small groups, families, or individuals.
Location
MooseWood Nature Center is located at beautiful Presque Isle Park, in the city of Marquette. Natural resources at the park include bog, forest, and lakeshore habitats. At our facility, we offer a small gathering space with natural history displays as well as live animals exhibited in tanks arranged to represent their natural habitats. All programs are available at the center and most programs can be presented at your choice of location.
Program Cost
Fees for MooseWood Nature Center’s education programs directly support the center and the development of new and existing programs.
School Programs*: $150.00/hour for up to 50 students (if paid by grantors or donors); reduced fee if school pays directly: $100.00/hour for up to 50 students.
