Sunrise to Sunset

This event is a coming together of many different organizations centered on the love of forests and the biome they support, specifically this year, bees.

MooseWood Nature Center will be hosting The Gathering in the North, a skill share event bringing several partnering organizations together to make this special event happen.

Partners

Here are some of the wonderful groups working together this year: Yellowdog Watershed Preserve, Marquette Regional History Center, Marquette Food Coop, and the NMU Center for Native American Studies.  If you’re interested, tell us more and lets work together.

Guest Speaker

Illustrator and writer, David Marshall of the children’s book co-authored by Paul Stamets, From Bears and Trees to Mushrooms and Bees. David took the science of leading mycologist, Paul Stamets and wrapped it in a fantastical story. In this book, the main character Max is a boy whose curiosity leads him on a scientific path to solve a worldwide problem: Save the bees! Marshall will be reading from his book.
