Winter Tracking Basics with Snow

Dive into the fascinating world of wildlife tracking with a beginner-friendly walk on Presque Isle Park. Search for tracks, scat, and signs as you become winter wildlife detectives. With any luck, we’ll be able to piece together the clues that we find.

Dress for the weather and enjoy an afternoon of winter tracking. The trail surface could potentially be uneven or slippery due to snow or ice. Bring traction spikes or snowshoes. Snowshoes are available to borrow on a first-come, first-served basis. Recommended for ages 8 and up or anyone who would enjoy learning the basics of tracking.
