Tree Trek

Saturday, October 19th from Noon to 1:30pm. Meet at Sugarloaf parking lot.

Join MooseWood volunteer and Forester, Sean Fischer for a Fall color tour at the Sugarloaf Mountain trailhead where we will observe the spectacular peak fall colors. Learn how to identify different UP species of trees, the ecology of UP forests, and how we coexist with these forests. This tour is not handicapped-accessible. Meet at the North-most Sugarloaf parking lot off of CR-550.Tour will include the whole Sugarloaf summit hike. Hike difficulty: rugged and up-hill, please wear appropriate gear.

Suggested age range: 12 years and up, but all are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. To support the nature center, suggested donations are $5/child or $10/family. Registration email: moosewoodnc@gmail.com. Registration is not required, but appreciated.
