Tree Trek

Saturday, August 5th, 2023 at 3:30 pm. Meet at MooseWood Nature Center.

Brush up on your forest ecology as we learn how to identify the features of several important U.P. trees such as pine, maple, oak, willow, and aspen as we trek on Presque Isle park. Interact with parts of trees and pictures of trees (i.e. flowers, cones, needles, and leaves). The trek will also discuss the different uses that trees provide for wildlife as well as humans.

Suggested age range: 10 years and up, but all are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. To support the nature center, suggested donations are $5/child or $10/family. Registration email: moosewoodnc@gmail.com. Registration is not required, but appreciated.
