Story Time at MooseWood

Sunday, March 9th at 11:00am

The book, Sleep, Black Bear, Sleep by Jane Yolen and Heidi E.Y. Stemple will be read. Various animals settle down for a winter’s nap, assured that spring will wake them to reenter the warmer, more active world. An intro to hibernation will be touched on. Guests may also enjoy a visit in the nature center once the reading is complete.

Sunday, March 30th at 11:00am

The book, Sneezy the Snowman by Maureen Wright will be read. A snowman who finds it dreadfully cold keeps doing things that cause him to melt, while the children who rebuild him each time offer clothing to keep him warm. Dress for the weather, as we will make mini snow people after the book reading. Guests may also enjoy a visit in the nature center once the reading is complete.

Suggested age range: 5-8 years old, but all are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. To support the nature center, suggested donations are $5/child or $10/family. Registration email: moosewoodnc@gmail.com. Registration is not required, but appreciated.
