Pottery Wheel Demonstration
Saturday, May 31, Noon-3:30pm
“Throwing” pottery is the process of forming a mass of moist clay into a bowl, cylinder, or other shape onto the potter’s wheel. This is just the first step in making the final piece, for the clay must be fired at high temperature to become hard ceramic. Join us for a pottery wheel demonstration and the opportunity to test your skill at bowl making, either at the wheel (age 12 and up) or by hand. Pinch pots can be made by younger visitors. Pottery will be available for sale, with proceeds benefiting the Center.
