Nature Walk and Fall Leaf Painting Class

Tuesday, September 24 at 6:00pm at MooseWood Nature Center.

Fee: $15/person (includes all materials and instruction)

Recommended age: 16 years and up. Crayons and markers will be available for kids to color on paper if they join as well.

This class is being offered to the community through a partnership with local artist, Kitty Capelle of Hope-Dreams Art. Look for a second painting class in October as well.

We will talk a short walk through the park and collect pretty fall leaves and other autumn ephemera. When we return to the nature center, I will guide the class in how to arrange the leaves and paint them. Students will learn how to study natural objects and recreate the shapes, shadows and highlights they see. They also will learn how to blend colors to create the texture and gradients of fall in the UP!.
