Who is the MooseWood Nature Center?

MooseWood Nature Center is a non-profit nature center open year-round located on Presque Park Marquette. Each year we hold our biggest Halloween fundraiser of the year, the Haunted Bog Walk.

This fundraiser helps support costs to operate the nature center, food and animal care for our live animal exhibits, and provides public and school programming for the Marquette community and surrounding areas. Many programs take place at the same bog where the Haunted Bog is held.

What is the Haunted Bog Walk?
You and 12-14 other brave souls are led through the Haunted Bog Walk. On your 18-20 minute walk, your wits will be tested as you encounter ghouls, ghosts, spirits and other scary creatures of the night. If you are lucky, you and your companions will live and tell the tale of the Haunted Halloween Bog Walk! This event would not be possible without our dedicated and creative volunteers in the community.

This year we will be celebrating 20 years of Frights! Please help make this year’s event bigger and better than ever.
