This year is our 17th annual event! with a theme of: Halloween Nightmares.
What is the Haunted Bog Walk?
You and 12-14 other brave souls are led through the Haunted Bog Walk. On your 18-20 minute walk, your wits will be tested as you encounter ghouls, ghosts, spirits and other scary creatures of the night. If you are lucky, you and your companions will live and tell the tale of the Haunted Halloween Bog Walk!
The Haunted Bog Walk is our biggest fundraiser of the year attracting thousands of attendees throughout the community with two common goals: to get scared out of their wits and support a very worthy cause. This fundraiser helps pay for costs needed to operate your year-round nature center, update our exhibits, keep our resident educational animals well cared for and fed and provide public programming and school field trips to the greater Marquette and surrounding areas. Many programs take place at the same bog where the Haunted Bog is held.
When: weekend of October 21-22, Friday and Saturday, 7:30 – 10:00 pm.
Tickets: $5 for children 12 and younger, $7 adults. Tickets can be purchased starting at 6:00 pm on Friday and Saturday and at the door both evenings. Cash or check accepted. Sorry, no family rates as this is a fundraiser.
Where: MooseWood Nature Center, Presque Isle Park (the pool building at the neck of Presque Isle), Marquette, MI. Buy your tickets at MooseWood prior to the two-day event or at the door. Than queue up at the beginning of the bog wildlife viewing area.
An assortment of treats and refreshments will be available.
Please Note: this event is not intended for very young children.
