Wetland Wonders at Presque Isle Bog

Sunday, July 19th, 7:00 P.M.

A $5 donation or $10/family is suggested for this program. Meet at the Presque Isle Bog parking lot. Easy walk with some sand. Dress appropriately, there could be bugs. To register, please email moosewoodnc@gmail.com.

Enjoy the Presque Isle Bog for an evening walk. Along the way, we’ll learn about the bogs formation and its interesting plant and animal life. In the bog, we’ll look for its unique “meat” eating plants, orchids that may be in bloom, and be on the lookout for wildlife or signs of their presence. Through a fun wetland activity, we will explore the characteristics of wetlands and their importance to wildlife and humans. Volunteer naturalist Tiffany Rantanen will lead the walk.
