A Brief Natural History of Bats, with Notes on Species Native to the UP.

Northern Michigan University Instructor, Hans Otto will present an overview of bat biology and behavior focusing on species in the Family Vespertillionidae, methods and materials used in bat research (acoustic detectors, mist nets, banding, radio telemetry, etc.), bat research and conservation, the current status of White-nose Syndrome, and the biology of species found in the Upper Peninsula.
